Governors

School Governors – what do we do?

All schools in England have a Governing Body which is responsible for overseeing many of the strategic decisions of the school. They decide how funding is spent; support and challenge the school leaders; guide and monitor school improvement; and work to ensure every child receives a high-quality education. These decisions influence the direction of the school and ultimately shape young people’s opportunities to achieve their full potential.
