Reduction in PAN

Due to lower than anticipated demographic numbers across St Neots this year, many schools are experiencing a falling roll. Priory park Infant School and Playgroup are affected by this low birth rate and therefore are proposing to reduce our Pupil Admission Numbers (PAN) from 90 to 60 from September 2025.

Please see details of this proposal consultation, via this link, which can also be found on our website at www.priorypark.org.uk under ‘Key Information’ then ‘Admissions’  The proposal to reduce is being led by the Local Authority.

The document can be found here:

5-ccc-consultation-co-ordinated-vc-and-community-admission-policy-2025-addendum (cambridgeshire.gov.uk)

Our catchment area: Hail Weston and that part of St Neots north side of High Street/Cambridge Street between the railway and the river bridge

We have 3 classes per year group and each class has a maximum number of 30 children. This means that we can take up to 90 children per year group and 270 in total.

Currently we have:

Reception: 60/90

Year 1: 69/90

Year 2: 80/90

Total no of pupils 209

We have several Open Sessions each year which are advertised via the link below, in the local press, by leaflet drop & with our local pre-school learning providers. We can also show families around by prior appointment, please make this by calling our school office.
